Fortunately, I am a supremely positive individual so hitting the “Master Reset” button on my life is one I will take on one day at a time. Outwardly, you might think I have nothing going for me, you would be wrong, I have the unconditional love of my two beautiful daughter’s, this alone allows me to to approach the day with a bright and cheerful outlook.

This is going to be fun so join me cuz BOBDANGIT, it’s the right thing to do.

Exploring all options

Ok, you don’t know much about me so I will be letting you get to know me, slowly, as we take this journey together. I am out of work due to an injury. I was employed by Vulcan Materials as a Fixed Maintenance Mechanic when while using a large high pressure hose (think FIRE HOSE) it slipped and in my effort tonregain control over it, I injured my neck and right rotator cuff. This weakened me severely (due to some nerve damage, herniations and muscle tears) and the management at the Quarry was of the opinion that I was exaggerating the extent of my injury. As a matter of fact, they were IN THE TREATMENT ROOM WITH ME, telling the PHYSICIAN that I did not need any time off and that I was not to receive any narcotic meds. When I went to see an orthopedic Dr on my own, I was asked to NOT come back to work because they would NOT accommodate any restrictions. That was two years ago.

I was never able to get any surgeries and they have refused to call me back or answer any emails regarding a possible return to work. It’s been the most devastating thing ever, professionally.

So today I went to my college and applied for a Work – Study. It’s 19 hrs a week at $9/hr. Couple that with a grant and some loans I am hoping to scrape out a meager existence for the year!

UPSIDE (there is always an upside)- I will have ample time to concentrate on the 18 hours of coursework. Become more knowledgeable with the school and students and hopefully increase my technical skills. I am a lifelong learner so that s should really be an experience.

Well, it’s Sunday and I spent amazing morning with my Grandson Baby Orly. That little guy is just inspiring me to dream big and be as positive as he is about life!

Ok, so I guess I can share a little bit more about myself. I am currently living with my Ex, her boyfriend, my oldest daughter and her boyfriend and my youngest daughter and my grandson. I am sort of squatting, I was evicted two weeks ago and they have kindly taken me in. I appreciate and thank them every day for it. I do pay (nothing is free), but substantially less than an apartment would cost. I also have no car, and no job.

I am hoping to have some luck. I have been taking all my spare income and investing in stocks. As of today my portfolio is $235. I am truly hoping that some good things happen and I can grow this into a means of supporting myself while in school. I start 18 semester hours on August 27th at my local community college. I plan on using some proceeds from my student loan to purchase a used vehicle. I have several small goals I need to reach before I can strike out on my own again. Enclosed is a pic of my little account balance and me and my little account balance. Hope we all have great Monday’s.. take care and I’ll let you know how we did tomorrow.. god or bad šŸ‘šŸ‘.

We are told frequently that those who dare 2 Think Outside The Box, often accomplish much more than many deemed possible. My dream is that free thinkers and innovators may see something on this site that will inspire greatness. And if not feel free to leave a suggestion question or comment, Iā€™m the king of random and never finishing anything. I also love criticism..
